Face Resizing Care Program: 8th Session Review and Updates

The Holiday Season is over and I am in a great dilemma on how to burn the excess calories from over-eating. *Cue in: I know I’m not the only one~~~* Hahaha! Thankfully, Yakson House Makati is just a call away should you want to seek help and motivation for your “New Year, New Me” Project. 😀

My program continues at Yakson and I am glad to share with you the improvements in my facial structure in this post. With two sessions left, I am happy to see that my siopao face is getting less siopao-er (I don’t know if that makes sense, but you get the picture. Hahahaha).

Let me tell you one confession: every time I enter the service room, I want to jump right in and have the most relaxing two hours of my week.

I don’t know but it really feels like home! The pleasant aura of the trio added to the comfy atmosphere of the place.

I had my eighth session right after the holiday break and I was their last customer for the day. Ms. Joana and I had a nice chat and had a good laugh. This was just one of the proofs that they were really friendly and suuuper approachable. Whenever I think that I have two sessions left, I couldn’t help but feel sad with the thought of missing these newly found friends. 😦

Since my sixth session, I am already getting the abdominal massage. It has replaced the usual back massage that I had during my first to fifth visits but this one is as relaxing as the other. If my estimation is correct, this procedure lasts for a good 20-30 minutes. Of course, this is in preparation for the main thing: Golki Therapy.

I don’t know if the amount of food I consumed during the holidays made my face bloat but I am glad that I had the Suction Treatment as my beauty care for that day.

I had this treatment during my first and second visits and this is still my favorite. It has the lifting and slimming effects that are perfect to reduce the bloating of the face.

A machine is used to execute this procedure but let me clarify that it is still NON-INVASIVE. Basically, two small tubes are brought to the areas of concern to perform the “suction”.

After this treatment, the usual Golki Therapy is done. As you may have observed in my previous articles, in every visit, I am receiving various treatments. I have tried the Salt Therapy, the Hot and Cold Stones Massage, the Facial Massage, and my favorite Suction Procedure. Despite all these variations, the Golki Therapy is the only thing that is constant because this is what you actually pay for at Yakson House. This tradition is indeed unique to them and I think Yakson House Makati is the only beauty center that does this technique in the Philippines.

To complete yet another wonderful session, the Brown Mask was applied not only on my face but also on my neck. It also has this lifting and slimming effect and I could feel that my skin is getting tighter while it was on me. It was left for 20 minutes and I let myself doze off and take advantage of the serenity of the place.

Yakson House: A Budding Beauty Haven

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The past year has been soooo good and I am praying that 2017 will be so much better for all of us! One of the many things that I am thankful for is my appointment as Yakson House’s Beauty Editor. It has been an honor and a great privilege to encounter their unique Golki Therapy. I am always happy to be part of this growing family that pursues the natural and traditional ways of enhancing beauty.

I can’t believe that I am nearing my last session but as early as now, I am taking this opportunity to thank Yakson House for giving me one of the most memorable experiences in my life. Going to Makati twice (sometimes once) a week always gives me the excitement rush because I know I will go home relaxed and refreshed!

On my seventh session, the same abdominal massage was done to me by Ms. Liza. It was the kind of massage that made me feel that the calories I had last Christmas were already burned. Haha! Nonetheless, it felt so good to receive this kind of care since like what I’ve said before, abdominal massages helped the digestive system function more effectively.

After relaxing the muscles of the body, the Golki massage was done next. As usual, I was turned over to Ms. Kim for this procedure. Every division of Yakson House was headed by one “Master”. Needless to say, she was the designated Golki Master for their lone branch here in the Philippines. Let’s hope that they would open more branches here soon! 🙂

Compared to my fifth and sixth session, the massage pressure this time was lighter and milder. As a matter of fact, I was feeling really sleepy while the adorable Ms. Kim re-size and re-shape my face. Hehehe.

The mood was calmer and I really think that after the Christmas rush, the tranquility of the place and the gentler procedures were all that I need.

After the Golki, Ms. Liza went back for my facial massage. This was still different from the one that Ms. Kim did as this procedure basically focused on the facial muscles rather than on the bones.

To top off my session, I was given the green mask to help prevent my sensitive skin from breaking out. This is another good thing in Yakson. Aside from maintaining a healthy bone structure and assisting proper blood circulation, they would really take good care of your skin as well! 😀

Belly Care at Yakson House

Christmas rush and holiday vibes — it’s the season to chill! The roads in Makati were now congested by traffic and malls were already full of people cramming to buy presents, but Yakson House Makati was as peaceful as always.

My sixth visit was no different from my previous ones, except that I did not have the usual back massage. Instead, I experienced something unique – ABDOMINAL MASSAGE.

Many of us were already aware of the numerous health benefits of massage therapies. I had already enumerated some of those in my post regarding the back and shoulder massage that I was getting at Yakson House Makati. In this article, however, let me tell you how abdominal massage helped in promoting good bowel movement.

Before Ms. Joana started the procedure, I asked her the things to expect as I lied down and enjoyed the massage. She said that indeed, this method was for those who had problems in digestion. The soft pressures applied in the muscles of the mid-section could actually relieve stomach cramps and strengthen muscular tissues.

According to livestrong.com, this type of massage “can aid your colon in moving waste through your system to alleviate issues with constipation.” Moreover, applying frequent soft and relaxing pressures in your abdominal muscle can improve the function of your internal organs as increased oxygen and improved blood circulation take place.

Had you ever felt a “knot” in your stomach whenever you feel anxious, stressed, or nervous? Apparently, abdominal massage could soothe this uneasy feeling. I was just so happy to experience this at Yakson! Plus, I could really say that Ms. Joana was already an expert in doing this procedure. Hence, after the abdominal massage, I was feeling light and more relaxed.

This was why when it was time for the Golki Therapy, the muscles of my body were already prepared to receive yet another increase in pressure. Hahaha!

This was what I’m talking about, ladies and gentlemen. The Golki Therapy that I was getting was already being intense as my program progressed. However, given that Ms. Kim was a master in this procedure, I trust that after my 10^th session, my face size and shape would be improved!

See how pleasant Ms. Kim’s personality is? I really love the fact that even if the procedure is already a bit harder this time, she made me feel that it’s okay. She even told me to “relax” for a number of times. Haha!

After the suuuuper relaxing and calming Salt Therapy, a charcoal mask was applied to my face. If you were already familiar with “activated charcoal”, you might know that this substance could help in removing dirt and other impurities in the skin.

Another session has ended and as usual, Yakson House never failed to give the best service. Two thumbs up for this beauty house!

Golki Therapy at Yakson House

I was already feeling at home at my favorite beauty spot at the moment and I can’t believe I was halfway through my Face Resizing Care Program! The hospitality and the warm smiles of the people at Yakson House Makati were indeed a breath of fresh air from the outside stress and I was very happy that I took the chance to become their Beauty Editor.

When I first got the invitation e-mail of Yakson House, I would admit that I was a bit hesitant that a non-invasive and non-surgical procedure would make a difference in my face shape and size. Now that I was done with my fifth session, I could already say that I AM A BELIEVER.

Here in the Philippines, Golki Therapy is not as popular as Radio Frequency (RF) Treatment when it comes to facial slimming. However, in Korea, Golki Therapy is a well-known procedure since it is still traceable to their tradition and culture. To prove this popularity, Yakson House already established 91 branches in the said country. At present, the heritage of this bone therapy is shared to different countries in Asia and that explains the 108 branches they have across the whole continent.

I was browsing yaksonhouse.ph and was glad to find some helpful references regarding Golki Therapy. Although Yakson has been in the industry for almost 37 years (they started in 1979), they still strive to advance their knowledge and look for better ways of improving their skills. To be honest, I really find that impressive. You know, not settling for mediocrity and continuously aiming for the best? Yes, that’s Yakson House.

During my latest visit, my Golki experience was a bit different. I told you that this procedure was not really painful, but this time, harder pressures were applied.

Mid-Session Review: 4th Visit Updates

‘Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la la la la la~~

Ahh, the Christmas feel! I can’t believe that I am actually spending this time of the year with my Yakson House Makati family!

It was my fourth session of the Face Resizing Care program and as always, I had the chance to relax and unwind! From the hustle and bustle of the city life, entering into this serene place has always been so rewarding. I always feel special because Ms. Kim, Ms. Joana, and Ms. Liza never fail to greet me with their sweetest smiles! 🙂 Yakson has this homey feel and the ambiance alone already helps me de-stress.

For those who are wondering about the different services offered by this beauty center, I have already made a list in my previous post. I enumerated the procedures for each program and I hope it will give you an idea of what to expect should you decide to avail of any of their amazing services!

Anyway, what’s new in my fourth session is the skin care. For the first two, I had the suction procedure and for my third, I experienced the best salt therapy that calmed my skin. Now, I got the hot and cold stone therapy which literally involved hot and cold stones. Haha!

For some of you who are used to having regular massage therapies, this procedure might already be familiar. However, what is unique in this skin care at Yakson House is that the stones are not rolled on your back but on your face! Yes, you read that right!

In Hot and Cold Stone Therapy, or Geo-thermotherapy, the stones are massaged on the facial area to ease oxygen and nutrient absorption in the cells. Alternating the stones helps in restoring the tissues and assists in better blood circulation. Imagine my happiness when I learned that this is included in my Face Resizing Care Program!

I can attest that this procedure indeed helped in reducing the puffiness of my face brought about by binge eating the other day. Hahaha! (A shout out to my Feasib friends! Thank you for a wonderful “Christmas Party”!)

Ever since I started my Face Resizing Care with Yakson House Makati, I always look forward to my next visit. Actually, I am having it twice a week and Ms. Kim told me that it’s alright. The people at Yakson are very friendly and are always willing to attend to my needs, so setting my schedule is not an issue. 🙂

I already discussed the step-by-step process of my program during my first time and you can freely read it here. Now for my third session, the usual process was completed. However, a special skin care was done to me – the Salt Therapy.

I have a really sensitive skin and the products I use are either a hit or a miss. After assessing my condition, Ms. Kim decided that I should take the said therapy.

In this method, a special sea salt was used to calm my skin. Ms. Joana gently massaged my face and by “gently” I really mean it! Her hands were very light; it was as if she was touching a baby’s delicate skin. It felt so good that Yakson House cares for the special skin care needs of their clients.

Of course, the Golki Therapy was still the procedure I am always excited to experience. This time, I could feel that Ms. Kim applied a harder pressure on my face. I don’t know if I have a high pain tolerance but I could tell you that it was not as painful as you would expect. Ms. Kim even smiled for a photo while doing the process (so cute!!!)

As for my final face care, I had the same mask that I had during my second session. Again, it was left on my whole face for 15 minutes. The minty and refreshing feeling helped me relax even more!

Massage Wonders at Yakson House

When I was younger, I thought that the best things in life were chocolates and sweets. Now that I reached the age when the stress level was just too high, I realized that the best thing (so far) was a relaxing body massage.

In my previous post, I mentioned that although I was having my Face Resizing Care Program at Yakson House Makati, back and shoulder massages were included in the sessions. I tell you right now that these procedures were the most relaxing ones in town.

Backed by research, massage therapies were known to improve the overall condition of the body. It was proven that after the therapy, the happy chemicals in the brain (a.k.a. Endorphin) were generally enhanced. Needless to say, a boost in the mood would result to a more positive disposition.

With the increased circulation of the blood, tissues and muscles get the needed nutrients more effectively. The tension in the muscles was decreased as they relax and repair from strenuous physical activities.

I was having a difficulty in sleeping (seasonal insomniac here) for the past weeks but after my 2^nd session of the Face Resizing Care Program, I was able to sleep better at night. I was just thankful that even though I was having a tiring week, I was able to at least get the therapy that my body badly needed.

You might know by now that Yakson House specialized in Golki Therapy (which I discussed in my Introductory Post). Ms. Kim was the only one who was licensed to do this for she had undergone serious training to perfect this procedure. However, as for the basic facial massage, Ms. Liza and Ms. Joan were very much qualified to do this.

Tuesday (December 6) was a very busy day for Ms. Kim and her staff. When I got into Yakson House Makati for my second session, there were other customers besides me. This was different with my first one when I was the only client they had at that time. However, privacy was not compromised since the service beds were separated by curtains. I think they also had another room for their male customers because while I was having my final face care, I heard a guy’s voice and I think Ms. Joan was the one who attended to him.

1st Session: Face Resizing Care

It’s that time of the year again!

The Christmas vibe is already around the corner, especially at Ayala Triangle Gardens, Makati. The yearly tradition of the Dancing Lights Show has started and I am one of those happy kids who excitedly anticipate this event. Fortunately, Yakson House is a walking distance away from A-Tri, thus after my session, I have the night to watch the lights. Yay!

Speaking of which, I would like to share to you my very first experience of the Face Resizing Care Program of the said beauty center.

I was scheduled at 3pm and was relieved I arrived on time. (Okay, I was five minutes late, but hey, I seldom arrive early! Haha). I was immediately greeted by the two Filipina staff, Ms. Liza and Ms. Joana. I noticed, however, that their accent already sounded like Ms. Kim, the Korean Director of Yakson House Makati. (I found it cute, actually!)

While waiting, I took a look at how my program would be and found this catalogue:

Facial Cleansing

No, this was not the typical facial in the mainstream market for this involved no painful pricking. This procedure basically removed my makeup to prepare me for the whole process. What I really liked about this was that aside from the cleansing, Ms. Joana gently massaged my face and I really found this soooo relaxing. I actually thought of sleeping but I decided otherwise because I need to take mental notes of what they were doing. Haha!

Back and Chest Care

Oh, this glorious moment! I was having a stressful week and I was thankful that this was included in my program. To be honest, I was thinking of why back and shoulder massages comprise my “Face Resizing Care”. I couldn’t keep the curiosity to myself anymore so I asked Ms. Joana and she said that this was done to prepare my whole body for the Golki Therapy itself. True enough, massages help stiff muscles relax, thus enabling proper blood circulation.

I don’t know it it was just me but this was my favorite part. This was like face lift sans the surgery. It tightened and lifted the skin and gave a slimming effect to the face.

This time, Ms. Liza perfected my molding clay mask (again, for the comparison of “before” and “after” results). It was left on my face for (I think) 20-30 minutes and I was beginning to drowse off already. Haha!

Now, Loves, for the main thing – the Golki (or Golgi) Therapy. Ms. Kim was the one who did this procedure as this really required expertise and skill. Before she started, I asked her if it would hurt and she sweetly assured me that it wouldn’t. I was glad I believed her. It was not really painful, after all. The different pressures she applied on my face made me feel even more relaxed (and sleepier).

After everything, Ms. Kim asked me if she could apply eye cream and BB cream and of course I said yes!

Yakson House is so generous, I am crying. Hahaha.
